Consumers Claim Products Cause HAIR LOSS

Mielle Organics is under intense criticism after multiple customers went viral, alleging the company’s products caused them hair loss.

Some allege they began experiencing the effects once Procter & Gamble acquired Mielle.

However, the company has relentlessly denied accusations of any formula changes in its products.

Now, The Shade Room’s Justin Carter is investigating the hair loss claims on ‘TSR Investigates.’

Here’s What Customers Have Said About Mielle Organics & Their Alleged Hair Loss

According to Carter, Mielle has promised to serve its customers with “high-quality” products formulated with “healthy” and “mostly organic” ingredients. However, consumers who have recently used the brand’s Rosemary and Mint collection may be thinking otherwise.

One customer, Kourtney Brown, reportedly began using Mielle products around 2016. Brown told Carter that after her recent use of Mielle, she’s noticed “a lot” falling out in “clumps.” A second customer named Jade Robertson told Carter that she began using the Rosemary and Mint collection in 2022.

“I was noticing [that[ my edges were thinning out,” Robertson alleged about her more recent use of the products. “And I was noticing that excessive hair was falling out — like clumps of hair.”

After undergoing medical tests and slowly removing the brand from use, Robertson began seeing others share similar alleged experiences on social media.

A Biochemist Weights In On The Controversy Surrounding The Hair Care Company

Carter spoke exclusively with biochemist and biophysicist Dr. Jocelynn Nelson about the allegations against Mielle. Nelson explained that it’s unclear whether Procter & Gamble is still utilizing the same suppliers Mielle used at its inception.

“And different suppliers have different standards,” Nelson explained.

Additionally, Dr. Nelson shares insight into what Mielle’s customers could be doing to unknowingly cause damage to their strands. Furthermore, Carter also shared a public statement from Mielle Organics in response to the controversy.
