It turns out that her family tree is just as impressive as her accolades! She told BBC Sounds that Stevie Wonder, Tracy Chapman, and Samuel L. Jackson are her cousins. Janet clarified that Stevie and Tracy are cousins from her mother’s side.

Neither of her “cousins” have weighed in on Janet Jackson’s interview comments. However, all of her wanna-be family on social media have been sharing their reactions.

Janet is the younger sister of eight iconic names, including Rebbie, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, La Toya, Marlon, Randy, and the late Michael Jackson. She also had a brother named Brandom, who died after birth in 1957, per PEOPLE.
Last month, she opened up about how her and Michael’s 1995 song ‘Scream’ transports her through time whenever she hears it! She told BBC that they wrote it in New York in his apartment.
“So [I relive] that whole journey, listening to him sing it [and remembering] what he was going through at that time. And just me being his little sister, always by his side, and being that support system. That’s always been my role.”
