Shyne Slams Diddy Amid His Recorded Abuse Of Cassie

Shyne made it clear that he’s choosing sides when it comes to Diddy and all his alleged “victims,” including Cassie. On Sunday (May 19), the former Bad Boy Records rapper slammed Sean Combs’ “repugnant behavior” in the 2016 video of him assaulting Cassie.

As previously reported, CNN exclusively reported the surveillance video of Combs kicking, dragging, and throwing items at the ‘Me & U’ singer. The incident went down in March 2016 in the hallway of a now-closed Los Angeles hotel.

The footage corroborates at least one incident of abuse that Ventura-Fine shared in her now-settled lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend.

What Did Shyne Say About His Former Boss?

On Instagram, Shyne declared that he wants “nothing to do” with people who commit domestic violence.

He is now a politician in Belize. He was deported there after serving 10 years in prison for a 1999 nightclub shooting involving Diddy. Shyne has previously said that he believes he was the “fall guy” for that incident, per Complex.

“I vehemently denounce the repugnant behavior of Sean Diddy Combs captured on the video in which he is seen physically assaulting Mrs Cassie Ventura-Fine. There is no place for Violence against Women anywhere on the planet. As a father of a precious daughter, a global citizen, and the next Prime Minister of Belize, I want absolutely nothing to do with people who engage in this pattern of diabolical behavior.”

Additionally, Shyne shared that his prayers are with Ventura-Fine and “all the other victims who have come forward with horrendous allegations against Mr. Combs.”

Diddy Recently Apologized For The Surfaced Abuse

After settling with Cassie, Diddy’s lawyer was adamant that it was not an admission of guilt. Since then, Combs has continued to strongly deny the accusations of abuse, assault, and trafficking — not only from Cassie but multiple other defendants in pending civil lawsuits.

However, two days after CNN exposed his abusive behavior against Cassie, Sean Combs changed his tone. In a video, he repeatedly apologized for his behavior — though he at no point name-dropped the victim, Cassie.

“My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it, I’m disgusted now.”

Diddy also claimed that he sought out professional help, including therapy and rehab, following the March 2016 incident. However, The  Shade Room has not independently those claims. He ended his first statement since the resurfaced video by saying that he wasn’t asking for forgiveness but that he’s “so sorry” and “committed to being a better man.”

Meanwhile, Cassie’s lawyer—like many on social media—let him know that he could keep his apology.
