DJ Akademiks Has Boo’d Up Birthday
Akademiks celebrated his 33rd birthday alongside his girlfriend. Akademiks’ boo gave Instagram a closer look at his party through a series of Instagram Stories. The videos show the location of the function, which included a rolled-out red carpet and decorative balloons. Another clip set to SZA’s ‘Snooze,’ sees the couple looking real cozy and later shows his girl giving him a kiss on the cheek.
Furthermore, Akademiks’ girlfriend kept the content rolling by showing Instagram a glimpse of one of their baecation. The short video sees Akademiks lounging, while his girlfriend shows off their balcony and tropical view.
Akademiks Makes Headlines With Lawsuit
Earlier this week, DJ Akademiks made headlines after a woman filed a lawsuit against him. Rolling Stone was the first to report on the news that the woman accused the social media personality of sexually assaulting her in 2022. Fauziya “Ziya” Abashe stated that Akademiks took advantage of her after two men drugged and raped her at his home.
Akademiks, whose real name is Livingston Allen, has denied the lawsuit’s allegations. He claimed the statements were false and called it “a shakedown.”
In December 2023, Akademiks denied the allegations in a video shared on social media. The live streamer denied his involvement in the incident, instead saying that his “two men” “trained” her on his pool deck. He also admitted to having surveillance footage. This is where the defamation point of Abashe’s lawsuit comes in. She claims Akademiks forced her to participate in sexual acts that she did not consent to.
