Soulja Boy recently revealed that he will seek therapy after he reportedly made disparaging comments about Metro Boomin’s deceased mother.
Billboard reports that on Sunday, May 12, an old tweet from Metro Boomin’ Twitter account got the ‘Crank Dat’ rapper’s blood boiling, and he responded in the worst way.

The Reported Tweets That Set Soulja Off
The now-deleted tweet read, “My phone rings to come to the studio with Jeezy. Your rings to send Soulja Boy a pack of beats. Sit down.”
Although the post was from nearly 12 years ago, the rapper retaliated. Soulja took to Instagram Live and pressed Metro to delete it. Additionally, he wished the famed producer a Happy Mother’s Day on X, formerly known as Twitter. VIBE reports, this was particularly distasteful because the 30-year-old’s mother passed away after her partner murdered her. Moreover, Metro has openly mourned his mother. The beat maker has a tweet pinned to his X timeline from August 2022 that reads, “I love you Mom.”
“All the streams, sales, money, and fame not gone bring your mom back @MetroBoomin was it worth it? can you say f*** this money and fame s*** and still be a boss can you?” Soulja posted.
He also tweeted, “You was tryna send me beats too p***** a** boy.”
The rapper continued her rant, “I don’t give a f***!!!! It’s always cool when a n**** come at me but when I defend myself its too much huh?! F*** that n**** mama!!!!!!!!!! Don’t speak on my name b****!”
21 Savage Defends Metro
A long-time collaborator of Metro stepped up on his behalf. 21 Savage posted a screenshot of an article from XXL magazine that alleged Soulja Boy was broke. The story stated his net worth was in the negative. Furthermore, the British-born rapper threatened the ‘Beef’ writer via tweet.

Soulja Attempts To Correct His Wrong
On Wednesday, May 15, the ‘Rick & Morty’ rapper had a change of heart and apologized to Metro.
He tweeted, “I apologize to @MetroBoomin for overreacting over an old tweet.” Soulja’s words of remorse continued,“Condolences to his mom. I’m going to seek therapy and anger management. I’m done responding to hate, new or old.” The post received over 90K likes.
