Fans Speculate Chris Brown Threw Shots At Quavo In Song ‘Freak’

Chris Brown stepped back into the music scene with the release of his deluxe ’11:11′ album on Wednesday (April 10). As fans enjoyed the project’s 35 songs, some noticed what seemed like shady bars in the song ‘Freak.’ By Thursday morning, Chris Brown was trending over speculations that he threw shots at Quavo.

What Do Fans Think Chris Brown Said About Quavo?

A few lines into verse two of ‘Freak,’ Chris Brown raps:

“Okay, now f**kin’ my old b***h ain’t gon’ make us equal / Sippin’ that 1942 ’cause I don’t do no Cuervo / Freak b***h, she like the Casamigos, not the Migos / I don’t f**k with bougie b****es, man, that sh*t is all hype.”

Though he doesn’t name-drop Quavo, folks on social media are speculating that “Cuervo” is a double-entendre for “Quavo.” What sauced these speculations is the fact that Chris Brown DID mention Quavo’s former rap group Migos.

Chris hasn’t confirmed or denied who the bars are about, and Quavo hasn’t publicly reacted to ‘Freak.’ But that hasn’t stopped social media from popping off and speculating that Karrueche Tran, Chris’ ex-GF, might be at the center of their alleged beef.

Rumors of Karrueche and Quavo dating due to sightings together started in 2017. She exclusively told The Shade Room in March 2022 that she and Quavo were not dating after Entertainment Tonight romantically linked them. Months later, in May, she and Quavo were spotted in Jamaica at the same time.

Chile! Maybe it’s the eclipse or summer’s approach, but the music game has been really spicy lately, with folks throwing shots. In the last few weeks, we’ve seen the escalation and de-escalation of a couple of beefs among hip hop entertainers in particular.

J.Cole shocked the innanet streets on Sunday when he apologized for clapping back at Kendrick Lamar‘s shots on Future and Metro Boomin’s ‘Like That.’

Drake has yet to release a response to Kendrick from the booth. However, Joe Budden recently assured folks both rappers have recorded their diss tracks and labeled the clapbacks “nuclear.”

On Monday (April 8), Wale issued a one-post response to Meek Mill, who had blasted him in over 20 X posts for taking a photo with his “opp.”

Meanwhile, City Girls JT and Yung Miami also gagged social media Monday when they exchanged heated words on X. Hours later, the women made up in public following a private conversation. Saucy Santana, who ended up in the middle of their lil’ spat, also resolved the tension with JT.

Two weeks ago, JT and GloRilla also traded insults on social media, but it doesn’t seem like any reconciliation has happened there yet.
